Draft Regional Food and Drink Strategy

The draft Dumfries and Galloway Food and Drink Strategy and Action Plan 2019-2022 goes to committee at Dumfries and Galloway Council later this week. The committee papers are published on the Council's website in advance of committee meetings.

This means you can now read the draft strategy document and the accompanying report online. The full agenda for the committee at which it is being discussed can be viewed here. The draft strategy is also uploaded as a pdf in the Resources section of this website.

If approved, a final version, including any requested changes, will be produced over the next few weeks and will be published shortly after Christmas.

This strategy has been informed by the two surveys that businesses and organisations completed earlier this year, and the development of the document has been supported by consultation with a range of organisations connected with Scotland's food and drink industry, at both a regional and national level.

Please note that the action plan is a set of recommendations only, at this stage no budget has been allocated for delivery. It should be remembered that the action plan is designed to be a working document that will evolve over time.
