There are a number of events and festivals currently seeking applications from Dumfries & Galloway food and drink producers.
BVAC Festival of Motoring at Thirlestane Castle: Sunday 2nd June
While it's a Borders based festival, the organisers are keen to include produce from across the whole of hte south of Scotland. There are retail spaces available within the local producers market area, as well as street food / catering van opportunities.
Galloway Country Fair: Sat 17th & Sun 18th August
The Galloway Country Fair is planning a focus on Dumfries & Galloway produce this year. They will be zoning the food and drink marquee with a D&G theme, and they are able to offer some discounts to D&G based traders. They have also been in discussion with us about how to make the marquee work better for traders, and therefore there is likely to be more curation of the produce available to reduce product duplication. They are now fully booked for alcohol sellers and cheese, but are particularly keen to hear from traders with butchery or game produce. Castle Douglas Harvest Festival: Sat 7th & Sun 8th September
Castle Douglas Harvest Food Festival is relaunching with a bang this year, after receiving support from both Dumfries & Galloway Council's Regional Events Growth Fund and from the Scottish Regional Food Fund. They are now accepting applications from traders and vendors, the application form and T&Cs can be downloaded from the Resources page.
